We are searching for loving individuals and families who are ready to welcome a Golden Retriever into their lives and provide a safe, nurturing environment. Important qualities we look for in potential puppy owners include a commitment to lifelong care, a willingness to continue socialization and training, and a deep understanding of the breed's needs. We believe in finding the right match to ensure a happy, healthy future for every puppy.
Step-by-step application process
Welcome to Illinois Golden Retriever Breeder, a family-owned establishment since 2019. We are devoted to producing healthy, well-socialized puppies with exceptional temperaments. Our journey to match you with your new best friend involves several thoughtful steps:
📝 STEP 1: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Begin by submitting an application to join our waitlist. A $50 deposit is required to apply. We will only process the payment if your application meets our requirements
✉️ STEP 2: APPLICATION APPROVAL
Approved families are contacted when a litter becomes available.
💲 STEP 3: RESERVATION DEPOSIT
When you are notified via email or text about a litter. You will have 24 hours to place a $300 non-refundable reservation deposit that will secure your spot. Please view our Payment Schedule Under Pricing.
🐕 STEP 4: MEET THE PARENTS
Meet-and-greet opportunities with the parents are available so you can learn more about our dogs and program after you have officially reserved a puppy from a specific litter.
🐾 STEP 5: PUPPY SELECTIONS
Puppy selections take place around 5 weeks of age.
📋 STEP 6: TEMPERAMENT EVALUATIONS
Professional temperament evaluations help match each puppy with the right family and are completed before the puppy meet and greets.
📸 STEP 7: PUPPY UPDATES
Receive weekly or bi-weekly puppy updates as your puppy grows and develops.
🩺 STEP 8: VETERINARY CARE
Puppies receive a veterinary examination and first vaccinations before leaving our care. Please note all puppies require 3 sets of vaccines to be protected from parvo virus.
🏡 STEP 9: RAISED IN OUR HOME
All puppies are raised in our home with daily socialization, enrichment, and plenty of love.
📅 STEP 10: GO-HOME DAY
Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age, ready to begin their new adventure with your family.
🎁 STEP 11: OPTIONAL STARTER PACKAGE
An optional puppy starter package is available to help make the transition easier.

Most of our Golden Retrievers are shown in the AKC ring, putting our breeding program to the test and demonstrating the quality and conformation of our dogs.
